The Ride to Fight Cancer 2025 - Equinix

The 2024 edition of the Equinix Ride To Fight Cancer was a great success with raising a stellar donation amount of € 38.606,27! The Princess Máxima Center used the donated money for a special data project named "Disqover". Within the Princess Máxima Center, this innovative platform for data sharing is vital to accelerate research and to improve care of patients.  

Based on last years’ success and the importance of the Princess Máxima Center, the Equinix 2025 Ride To Fight Cancer will once again focus on fundraising for a new special project: a special innovation team with the primary goal to drive innovations in healthcare using knowledge and technology from the business sector, to ensure a solid contribution to the mission and approach of the Máxima. 

 We're aiming to totally crush the amount we raised last year!

The Ride's mission is aligned with The Princess Máxima Center’s mission: Curing every child with cancer with optimal quality of life!  Around 600 children in the Netherlands get cancer every year, and one in four children who are diagnosed with cancer dies from this illness. When a child is seriously ill with cancer, only one thing comes first: cure! That is why the Princess Máxima Center for pediatric oncology is working together every day, in a groundbreaking and passionate way, to improve the survival rate and quality of life of children with cancer. Now, and in the longer term. Because children still have a whole life ahead of them. 

 The Princess Máxima Center is not an ordinary hospital, but a research hospital. All children with cancer in the Netherlands are treated here. This makes the Princess Máxima Center the largest pediatric cancer center in Europe. Over 450 researchers and 900 healthcare professionals work closely with Dutch and international hospitals on better treatments and new perspectives on cures. In this way, the Center gives the child of today the very best care and takes important steps to improve the chances of survival for the children who are not yet cured.
