On Wednesday, 10 July, a group of JETers will embark on the inaugural edition of this event, covering a whopping 210 kilomenters! Cyclists will set off from our office in Enschede and arrive (roughly 12 hours later) at our Amsterdam location. This fundraising cycle is all in support of Princess Maxima Centrum

While I'm proud to participate in any fundraising acitivity, this cause is especially personal for me. I lost my mom to cancer and it has been amongst the most impactful events in my life. Then, through other fundraising activities met a good friend who lost his son to cancer and put my experience in further perspective. What I know for sure is organizations like the Princess Maxima Centrum are pillars in supporting families affected by this devastating disease.

Every year, about 600 children in the Netherlands get cancer. Still, one in four children with cancer dies from this disease. When a child is seriously ill with cancer, only one thing is paramount: cure.
The Prinses Máxima Centre in Utrecht partly depends on donations. By financially supporting my bike ride, they can make a difference in the lives of children with cancer.
